Radiant Policy & Procedures

Teach-Out Policy

Effective Date: June 1, 2026 Prepared by: Surya, CEO, Radiant Health Institute
Radiant Health Institute is committed to ensuring that every enrolled student has a clear, supported, and ethical pathway to completing their education, even if a program is discontinued, significantly modified, or the organization faces a closure event. This policy establishes the standards, procedures, and student protections that govern any teach-out situation at Radiant.

01What Is a Teach-Out?

A teach-out is a structured plan that allows currently enrolled students to complete their program of study under Radiant's original terms when one of the following occurs:

  • A specific program or program level is being discontinued
  • Radiant Health Institute is closing or transitioning ownership
  • A significant program change makes it impossible for currently enrolled students to complete under their original enrollment terms
  • ICF accreditation status changes in a way that affects a student's ability to earn their credential through their current program path

A teach-out may be fulfilled directly by Radiant, through a third-party partner institution, or through a combination of both.

02Triggering Events

A teach-out plan will be developed and activated when any of the following occurs:

  • Radiant makes a formal decision to discontinue one or more accredited programs
  • Radiant initiates business closure proceedings (see Business Closure Policy)
  • The death or permanent incapacitation of the Founder activates the succession continuity period and continuation is determined not feasible
  • ICF requires a teach-out as a condition of accreditation review, transition, or surrender
  • A significant curriculum restructuring prevents existing students from continuing under their original enrollment agreement

03Teach-Out Plan Development

Upon activation of a triggering event, Radiant will develop a written Teach-Out Plan within 30 days. The plan will include:

3.1 Student Inventory

A complete roster of all currently enrolled students, including program level and cohort, hours completed to date, hours remaining to meet certification requirements, outstanding mentor coaching and evaluation requirements, and financial status and remaining balance.

3.2 Teach-Out Delivery Method

The plan will identify how each student will be supported to completion, which may include:

  • Continuation of existing classes and cohorts through qualified Radiant faculty
  • Transfer of students to a comparable ICF-accredited partner program
  • A hybrid model where Radiant delivers certain components and a partner delivers others

3.3 Timeline

The plan will establish a clear timeline including the last date of new enrollment in affected programs, scheduled completion of all remaining program components, and the deadline for final certificate issuance.

3.4 Faculty and Resource Assignments

The plan will identify which faculty, trainers, and mentor coaches will deliver teach-out components, along with their availability and compensation arrangements.

04Student Rights During a Teach-Out

All students enrolled during a teach-out period retain the following rights:

Right to Complete

Every enrolled student in good standing has the right to complete their program under the terms of their original enrollment agreement, or to receive a prorated refund if completion is not possible.

Right to Transfer

If Radiant cannot deliver the remaining components directly, Radiant will make every reasonable effort to identify a comparable ICF-accredited program willing to accept the student's completed hours.

Right to a Refund

If a student chooses not to continue or no viable pathway can be identified, they are entitled to a prorated refund for undelivered components. Any remaining payment plan balance will be forgiven for the undelivered portion.

Right to Records

All students will receive complete documentation of their academic record, including all attendance, hours, evaluations, and mentor coaching documentation on file, regardless of the pathway they choose.

Refund Timeline: Prorated refunds for students who elect to withdraw during a teach-out will be processed within 60 days of the student's formal election to withdraw.

05Communication During a Teach-Out

Radiant is committed to clear, honest, and timely communication with all students during any teach-out period. The following standards apply:

  • Students will receive written notice of the teach-out no later than 30 days before any program disruption
  • All communications will clearly state what has changed, what options are available, and what each student needs to do next
  • A dedicated point of contact will be assigned for teach-out-related questions and communications
  • Students will receive regular updates no less than monthly until their pathway is resolved

06ICF Notification and Compliance

Radiant will notify ICF of any teach-out plan in accordance with ICF accreditation requirements. This includes:

  • Submitting the written Teach-Out Plan to ICF upon finalization
  • Providing ICF with updates on student outcomes and completion rates
  • Cooperating fully with any ICF review or oversight of the teach-out process
  • Formally surrendering or modifying accreditation status as required upon completion of the teach-out

07Partner Program Criteria

In cases where Radiant facilitates a transfer to a third-party program, Radiant will only facilitate transfers to programs that meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Holds current ICF accreditation at a level equivalent to or higher than the student's original program
  • Has confirmed in writing their willingness to accept Radiant's completed hours toward their own program requirements
  • Provides comparable program content, methodology, and student support standards
  • Has a clear, written agreement with Radiant outlining transfer terms

Radiant does not guarantee acceptance into any third-party program and will provide referrals in good faith based on the best available options at the time.

08Record Keeping

Radiant will retain all teach-out documentation, including student records, teach-out plans, communications, and refund records, for a minimum of seven (7) years following the completion of the teach-out.

09Relationship to Business Closure Policy

This Teach-Out Policy operates in conjunction with Radiant's Business Closure Policy. In all closure scenarios, a teach-out plan will be developed and implemented as described herein unless the closure is so sudden that a direct refund to students is the only viable path, in which case the refund provisions outlined in the Business Closure Policy will govern.

10Policy Review

This policy is reviewed annually by Radiant leadership to ensure alignment with ICF accreditation requirements, applicable law, and organizational best practices. The policy will also be reviewed and updated following any significant organizational change, accreditation update, or teach-out event.
